Hi guys
These are some things that need to be addressed/done around the garden:
1 The plants (in all beds) have to be watered everyday (unless it rained significantly). Dont water the actual plants though, you want to water the soil around the plants
2 Dont bury the actual leaves of the plant when putting leaf mulch down (This is especailly happening around the collard greens)
3 Robert- I know you are busy, so if you could just concentrate on the compost, that would be really beneficial, because right now we have no fertilizer to feed the plants with...
4 Soil Ph test (this is actually important for our veggies and hopefully Nadia will do it since shes experienced)
5 Some things to do now or later.... work on lettuce bed, put gutter up, start cutting down vines in backyard, fertilize trees, turn and wet compost
6 The jalapenos, bell peppers and onions are ready to be planted this wknd, so after church we can work on that. But the herb bed (where you want the onions Nat) needs to be re-fertilized or needs more manure and water, cause that soil is not nourishing enough to plant more stuff in yet.
7 As far as pesticides go, I think neem oil would be our best bet, what do you guys think? (maybe do some research and see what other options there are)
Also, im gonna send out an email to the underground asking for donations for the yard sale and thinking we should set the date for Saturday Novermber 3. (Im also gonna include the website in the email in case anyone wants to see what we're doing.) Will you be able to request the day off since its almost a month away Nat? If you guys can think of anything else or find anything else, lemme know...Does anyone have NADIAS email address?
Thanks
Desiree'
